Britney Spears's latest Instagram post set the internet ablaze. Taking to the platform to show off her dance moves, the newly married star danced to "Feel It Still" by the rock band Portugal. The Man in summer's hottest swimwear trend: the thong bikini.

Spears's design features a strappy, plunging top and a matching cheeky, high-waist bottom with side cutouts, all in a bright shade of red. Putting her toned bottom and legs on full display, the star executed her moves with remarkable fierceness, as if the high heels she wore were the ideal match for this type of activity. She amplified the already bold look with tall, black, triple-band sandals.

Although not originally coined as the "thongkini," Spears's bathing suit silhouette is attributed to the late Austrian-born American fashion designer Rudi Gernreich, who brought thongs to the fashion forefront in the '70s. With celebrities like Spears, Kim Kardashian, and Simone Biles endorsing the look with modern finishes, it is definitely enjoying a comeback today. Spears exhibited all the body confidence that comes with pulling it off, delivering what turned out to be a full cardio workout routine.

This isn't the first time she has shared a similar dance video. Just a couple weeks ago, she posted another clip of herself spinning, shaking, and dancing in low-rise blue shorts, a pink scoop-neck gym bra, and sneakers.
